Porter appears in a funny PSA for the NHTSA regarding child safety seats. Also listen for her in the accompanying radio ads.
Last night Porter was presented with an award by Kevin E. West of The Actors’ Network. The award (called “The Award”) was presented to Porter “in recognition of the member who best exemplifies The Actors’ Network philosophy regarding commitment, knowledge, assistance, focus, progress, pro-activity and attitude.”
Porter has been cast in the latest incarnation of the immensely popular short play series The Car Plays. She will play “Barbara” in E.M. Lewis’ Drop-Off Day. The 10-minute plays actually take place inside cars. A ticket gets you admission to five of the plays. Audience members, in groups of two (or three if you’re willing to squeeze), hop into the cars with the actors and move to the next car after each play. After seven years performing and teaching at ACME Comedy Theatre, Porter has decided that this Friday will be her last show as a company member. She will perform in Hollywood Dream role with EUREKA star Colin Ferguson guesting. Visit www.acmecomedy.com for tickets and info.
